Project challenge:
Schweppes Indian Tonic is a carbonated drink with a distinctive bitterness, achieved through the addition of quinine. It’s perfectly refreshing and thirst-quenching, with a moderate sweetness. Schweppes is traditionally used to dilute alcoholic beverages, such as coffee liqueurs or gin, and to make cocktails. However, it also stands on its own. The Schweppes company was founded in 1783. The founder patented his own method for producing mineral water, which later led to the development of the original recipe for the popular drink.
